Our cover of J.J. Cale’s hit song “Crazy Mama” is now streaming on all platforms!
This cover song originated in Emily’s studio, stemming from a seed of adoration for J.J. Cale planted in her musical journey from her country band days. This adoration is shared by Skyler and Marv, and J.J. Cale is often played in the tour van on long road trips.
Emily brought the tune to the Free Creatures set list as a fun dance addition for parties. The song proved to carry the kind of sweet celebratory energy that Free Creatures is intentionally cultivating moving forward, and has rapidly become a favorite among band members and fans alike.
